The sacred wood naturally occurs in Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela, where it has been used for millennia. When the wood sticks are burned, the characteristic warm, woody, and slightly sweet fragrance of the resin develops.
The Palo Santo tree is protected by conservation laws, so trade is highly regulated. The Palo Santo used here comes from sustainably managed forest regions in Peru and is harvested from fallen trees.
This wood comes from sustainable sources and has been harvested only from naturally fallen trees. The village that manages and collects these trees is accredited by the Peruvian government.

Palo Santo is being used in rituals to clear out negative energy. The burning of plants, resins, and wood is one of humanity's oldest rituals.
Even today, many people still benefit from the soothing effects of smudging on body and mind. For this purpose, the appropriate choice of smudging materials and quality is important.
Hold a palo santo wood end of the stick traditionally over a candle until it begins to burn. Stay a few moments with the flame as it grows. Rattle the stick gently in a back-and-forth motion and let the cleansing smoke rise through the air.
Or walk through the room or your home with the smoking Palo Santo and cleanse it from negative energies. Then place the wood in a fireproof dish and let it smolder.
