Respiratory Support: Olibanum, also known as frankincense, has long been valued for its anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties. It can provide relief from respiratory problems such as colds and coughs.

SWIMWEAR: All of our swimwear is made out of super soft Italian fabric. Each piece can be worn on both sides, making all swimwear reversible with no visible seam. We either use recycled PA or biobased PA made from plants (ricinus communis) instead of fossil fuel.
CLOTHING: All of our clothing is made with natural fabric such as tencel (made from wood) or organic cotton. We don't use any plastic or Elastane in our clothing.
Please wash your clothing cold. We suggest to always wash your bikini with cold water after use and to let it dry in the shade.
All our Swimwear & Activewear is made in Como, 30minutes from the swiss boarder in a small family factory with only 10 workers.
All clothing is made in Portugal near Porto also in a family owned factory that has several certifications to ensure all our high working standards are met.
We visit our factories multiple times a year and know them very well.

HOW AND WHERE WAS PURA FOUNDED?
PURA was founded in 2016 in Biel, in my grandmother's studio. Together, we sewed my first bikinis from leftover Rock N’Roll fabrics that my grandmother, a seamstress, still had at home.
WHY WAS PURA FOUNDED?
Primarily because in 2016, there were hardly any sustainable and fair bikinis available. After my gap year following high school, I was tired of bikinis that didn't last and everything being produced in Indonesia or China. I wanted to change that, and so PURA was born. Back then, "fair fashion" was hardly known, and I'm pleased to see that it's now given much more importance.

We start where most brands stop. It's always about getting better and more sustainable. Sustainable fashion is so much more than just recycled fabrics.

PURA stands for high-quality, sustainable fashion. We go beyond just recycled fabrics. Fair and local production is our top priority, and we only work with the most innovative, sustainable, and high-quality materials.
100% fair produced in Europe. Every single piece is made in Italy and Portugal. Our productions are certified, and we visit them multiple times a year to ensure that our standards are upheld. By now, over 50% of our collection uses natural, plastic-free fabrics. Unfortunately, natural fabric is not durable enough for swimwear, which is why we use a mixture of recycled and bio-based plastic.
